Approaches/modalities
All of my approaches are trauma-informed and strengths-based in nature, and I believe my role is to assist clients in expanding their awareness and finding understanding of life experiences. Ultimately, I work with my clients to ensure they are able to find peace in living as their full, authentic selves and to heal the parts of their story that get in the way of that goal. I ask for regular feedback from clients on what is going well within therapy, what is not going well, and whether or not their needs are being met. I work hard to ensure that all clients are able to have their needs met within the therapeutic space and to feel safe being open and vulnerable in ways that align with their values.

I work with clients to identify what clinical approach is most helpful for them, pulling from my training in modalities such as:
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Client-Centered Therapy
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Feminist Therapy
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Mindfulness
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
About Vicki
I am a pansexual, cisgender, mid-sized, white woman. I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2017 and have been working in the mental health field since. My therapeutic style is collaborative and integrative, recognizing that no one approach works for all clients and ultimately clients are experts of their own stories. I am intentional about working collaboratively with clients to create a space that is non-judgmental, making sure that all parts of clients are able to be seen and heard. In my time outside of work, I enjoy spending time outside hiking, kayaking, or hammocking with my partner, friends, and dog. I enjoy musicals, baking, reading, playing board games, and watching terrible reality television.
Clinical experience
I have worked in the mental health field since 2017, working primarily with college-aged folks and older. Prior to starting in private practice in 2021, I ran a program for folks experiencing first episode psychosis and spent 3 years working at Ohio State’s Counseling and Consultation Service. I have experience working with folks who identify on a wide spectrum of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity. I feel honored to create space for and affirm all parts of a client’s identity within therapy.
Education
Master of Social Work, University of Pittsburgh
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Ohio State University
