I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio. I earned my M.A. in clinical psychology from the University of Dayton and my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Miami University. Much of my research during graduate school focused on increasing understanding of the impact that interpersonal violence and loss have on individuals, as well as factors that contribute to various outcomes, including distress, growth, and resiliency.

I have trained or worked at a variety of settings, including university counseling centers, hospital-based settings, and community mental health. The approach I take in my work is relationally-based and from a feminist perspective. I work collaboratively with a person to create a therapeutic space that feels as comfortable and non-judgmental as possible. I am interested in learning about a person’s context, including their cultural identity, as I view this understanding as essential in therapy. I integrate techniques and interventions from different therapy approaches that seem useful based on the person and what they are experiencing. This often includes Interpersonal-process interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My hope is a person’s therapy experience with me feels empowering for them and helps them grow in the ways they desire.
