About
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. First, I want to thank you for looking into mental health support. It can be intimidating and scary to take the step to reach out for help. I hope those that I work with feel safe and confident in their ability to begin the process of coping and healing with whatever concern you might bring into my office. I work with my clients to utilize strengths they already have in order to manage emotions and the everyday stresses of life, while learning new, lifelong skills to take with them for future needs. I am a strong believer in utilizing evidenced based interventions to help support each individual's process of being in therapy such as CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy while providing ongoing psychoeducation to have a better understanding of yourself. Clinical Experience My experience includes working with children, teens, young adults, and families. I worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital as a medical social worker providing assessments, psychosocial support, crisis management, and resources to patients and families for a variety of chronic medical conditions. Most recently, I was a supervisor within Olentangy Local Schools with Syntero. I provided supervision and training to newer clinicians as well as worked directly with students and their families on a variety of behavioral health concerns. I am also an adjunct professor of Social Work at Mount Vernon Nazarene University where I teach undergraduate level classes. In training for EMDR. Education MSW in Social Work from The Ohio State University, 2016 BSW in Social Work from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, 2015 You can check the insurances we accept HERE. |
