About Asia I am an independently licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) in the state of Ohio. I received my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling May of 2012 from Bowling Green State University. I treat older teens, college age and adults of all ages. I believe in respecting my clients for who they are and meeting them where they are WHILE guiding them through the change process to make the emotional, cognitive and/or behavioral changes that they came to therapy for. I believe that my clients are the experts of themselves. Clinical experience I have been in private practice since 2017. Prior to coming to private practice I specialized for over 5 years in the program development, individual therapy and group treatment of Eating Disorders at the higher levels of care. I also did an undergraduate internship working with adult females at a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility. I was a Victims’ Advocate for a year helping survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and/or stalking. I then did my yearlong graduate school internship working with children, adolescents, and their families – doing individual, family, and group therapy at the agencies and through the local schools.
